Compliance Standard V2.1
British Prize Hub and M3 Marketing Ltd are committed to the highest standards of responsible marketing. All promoted brands hold valid UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) licenses. As an affiliate partner, your compliance with these guidelines is mandatory and closely monitored.
1. General Advertising Principles (CAP Code)
All marketing communications must be socially responsible. They must not portray gambling as a way to solve financial problems or achieve financial security. Advertising must not suggest that gambling can enhance personal qualities or is a rite of passage.
2. Protection of Minors
You must strictly adhere to the rule that advertising must not be directed at, or strongly appeal to, individuals under the age of 18. This includes:
- Not using imagery, language, or themes associated with youth culture.
- Ensuring age-gating mechanisms are in place on social media channels where available.
- Prominently displaying "18+" messaging on all banners, landing pages, and promotional text.
3. Significant Terms and Conditions
When promoting an offer (e.g., a welcome bonus), all significant terms must be presented clearly, prominently, and within one click of the primary offer. This includes:
- New customer restrictions.
- Minimum deposit requirements.
- Wagering requirements and game weightings.
- Time limits for bonus validity.
4. Responsible Gambling Support
Every piece of marketing material must include a visible reference to a recognized responsible gambling organization. In the UK, this is typically GambleAware. You must include the text "BeGambleAware.org" or the approved logo linked directly to their website.
5. Monitoring and Enforcement
M3 Marketing Ltd conducts regular audits of our affiliates' promotional methods. If an affiliate is found to be in breach of these responsible advertising guidelines, we reserve the right to immediately suspend their account, withhold commissions, and terminate the partnership. We also reserve the right to report severe breaches to the relevant regulatory bodies.
The UKGC places the onus on the licensed operators to ensure their affiliates are compliant; therefore, British Prize Hub acts as the intermediary compliance layer, strictly enforcing operator directives. Our Compliance and Risk Center provides a dedicated checklist for partners to self-audit their campaigns before launch. It is crucial to understand that 'clear and prominent' presentation of significant terms means they must not be hidden in a dropdown menu or require scrolling past unrelated content to view. They must be adjacent to the primary headline of the offer.
Furthermore, any use of advertorials or native advertising must clearly be labeled as "Advertisement" or "Sponsored Content" to avoid misleading the consumer. SEO affiliates must ensure their review content is objective and not overly sensationalized to encourage irresponsible gambling behavior. Pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns must utilize negative keyword lists to prevent ads from appearing for searches related to gambling addiction, debt, or self-exclusion programs like GAMSTOP.
Affiliates promoting via email or SMS marketing must maintain robust suppression lists and ensure explicit, opt-in consent has been gathered specifically for gambling-related marketing, in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). British Prize Hub requires proof of opt-in origin upon request. By maintaining these high standards, we protect the longevity of the affiliate ecosystem and ensure a safe environment for UK consumers interacting with our partner brands.
